Woman 'slaughtered by brothers-in-law'

A quiet neighbourhood in Qasim Town was jolted by a gruesome killing when a 35-year-old mother of five was found with her throat slit inside her home on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Zareen Bibi, was allegedly attacked with a knife by her two brothers-in-law, who fled the scene after the killing. According to PS Sukhan SHO, the suspects were identified as Naimatullah and Ghulamullah, who allegedly visited Zareen's house and attacked her with a sharp-edged weapon before escaping. The motive behind the killing has not yet been established. However, police said preliminary investigation suggested that a domestic dispute may have led to the fatal attack. SHO Sehto said Zareen was originally from Shikarpur and had been living in Qasim Town with her five children. Further investigation into the incident is under way.
