Where to watch Lions vs. Bills today, kickoff time - Lions Wire
The Detroit Lions (1-0) are back in action tonight as they travel to the brand-new Highmark Stadium to battle the Buffalo Bills (1-0) to kick off Week 2 of the NFL season.
Detroit opened with a 31-30 overtime victory at home over the New Orleans Saints. Jahmyr Gibbs led the way with 156 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Amon-Ra St. Brown added a pair of scores as well, including the Lions' touchdown in overtime.
Meanwhile, Buffalo earned a 36-31 road win at the Houston Texans in Week 1. Bills quarterback Josh Allen passed for 334 yards and two touchdowns.
It's the first-ever regular-season game inside the new Highmark Stadium. Buffalo is always a difficult place to play, but, given the circumstances, it figures to be an especially daunting task for the Lions.
"It'll be electric, you know. It's going to be a great atmosphere. We'll be looking forward to that," Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Monday. "Excellent opponent. This (is) a big time game here early in the year."
Thursday night promises to deliver plenty of fireworks between two of the league's top teams. As kickoff nears, here's where to watch the Lions at the Bills on Thursday night in prime time:
Veteran play-by-play man Al Michaels is on the call alongside analyst Kirk Herbstreit. The pair will be joined by Kaylee Hartung reporting from the sidelines.
Detroit enters Thursday night minus three starting offensive linemen. Center Cade Mays is on injured reserve and not expected back until mid-October as he rehabs a broken right wrist. Juice Scruggs is starting in Mays' place. On Wednesday, the Lions ruled out starting left guard Christian Mahogany (hip) and rookie starting right tackle Blake Miller (knee) against the Bills. Detroit starting cornerback D.J. Reed (foot) was also listed as questionable.
Ben Bartch and Larry Borom will step in at left guard and right tackle, respectively.
Buffalo starting safety Cole Bishop (knee / groin) was listed as questionable. If Bishop can't go, the Bills would likely turn to Damar Hamlin alongside C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
Bills running back Ty Johnson (hamstring) and defensive lineman T.J. Sanders (knee / illness) were also listed as questionable.
