Video: Lathis, bricks and frying spoon; UP's Hapur samosa shop brawl turns violent

A minor dispute over money at a snack shop in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur escalated into a violent street brawl, with two groups attacking each other with sticks, bricks, bats and even a large spoon used for frying samosas. A video capturing the clash has gone viral on social media.

The incident took place in Dehra village under the Dhaulana police station area. In the viral video, more than half a dozen people can be seen fighting in the middle of the road. Members of both groups are seen attacking each other with lathis, while bricks and bats are also used during the confrontation.

In a particularly chaotic moment, one person appears to wield a large frying spoon from the snack shop as a weapon. Several bystanders, including women, can be seen attempting to intervene and stop the fight, but the two groups continue attacking each other.

The confrontation reportedly began over a money-related dispute at the snack shop. Two people were injured in the clash and were sent to hospital for treatment.

After the video surfaced on social media, Dhaulana police took cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation. Police are examining the footage to identify those involved in the street brawl.

Pilkhuwa Circle Officer Munesh Chandra said two groups from the same community had clashed in Dehra village over a money-related dispute. He said two injured people were sent to hospital and that police were identifying those involved with the help of the viral video.
