Two women in court as third suspect released in Villa Liza murder case

Police have released a third suspect arrested in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found near Dawn Park in Ekurhuleni.

Two women linked to the killing of Jabulile Ntimba appeared briefly in the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon.

They were arrested by Gauteng police over the weekend.

Ntimba’s body was found in Villa Liza last Thursday.

She’s a victim in a string of killings involving women in Ekurhuleni.

Police believe Ntimba’s murder may have been the result of a love triangle.

But investigators are keeping details of the case close to the chest, including the exact relationship between the man who’s been released and the deceased.

Police have also stressed that Ntimba’s murder is being investigated as an isolated case.

Speaking outside court, Deputy National Police Commissioner Tebello Mosikili said the investigation is far from over.

The two women face charges including murder and obstructing the course of justice.

They’ll be back in court on the first of October to apply for bail.
