Two Ole Miss students found dead as packaged kratom is recovered at both sites: officials
Two University of Mississippi students have been found dead amid a drug-related investigation, officials confirmed to Fox News Digital.
Lafayette County Metro Narcotics said in a news release that law enforcement is investigating the deaths of two college-aged individuals found at separate locations. Authorities have not confirmed the deaths are connected, but packaged kratom sold from a retail store was recovered in both investigations.

"We do not have confirmed information indicating that kratom or any other substance was a contributing factor in either death," the agency said.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, the University of Mississippi confirmed that both of the deceased were students there.
"The University is heartbroken by the recent loss of two students and extends our condolences to their families, friends and loved ones during this difficult time," a campus spokesman said.
