Two kids die of rabies as Sindh's toll climbs to 37
A six-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy are the latest victims of Sindh's worsening rabies crisis, dying at Indus Hospital Karachi after dog bites that were not followed by anti-rabies vaccination.
Their deaths have pushed the province's rabies toll to 37 this year, highlighting the potentially fatal consequences of failing to receive timely post-bite treatment.
The victims were identified as Abia d/o Nauman, from Hyderabad, and Waqar, s/o Sultan from Dadu. Hospital authorities said neither child had been administered the anti-rabies vaccine after being bitten.
