Two dead, one injured in fire accident in Hubballi

Two persons died and a woman was injured in a fire accident in Hubballi on Sunday (September 20, 2026).

Praveen Kalal (46), an employee with HESCOM and his brother Mohan Kalal (40), died of burn injuries. Suman Kalal, another member of the family suffered burns on her body. She is undergoing treatment in KMCRI institute.

Police officers inspected the accident spot. They suspect that gas leakage from a domestic cylinder caused the fire. A case has been registered, and investigation is under way.
