After Trump traveled to Beijing in May, the venue this time is Washington. The White House will be putting on a show of welcoming the Chinese leader, including a state dinner. Yet expectations for tangible results are modest, after their earlier meeting produced what many experts saw as symbolism over substance. Any discussions of Taiwan, which China claims, will be closely watched, as Trump has described arms sales to the island democracy as a "very good negotiating chip."
