Tinubu group highlights North-Central projects at Lafia rally - Vanguard News
LAFIA, Nasarawa State — The Director-General of Relax, Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN), Hon. Ahmed Bala, has led members of the organisation to the presidential campaign rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where he highlighted federal infrastructure projects across the North-Central region.
The rally, held on Wednesday and attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, brought together political leaders and supporters as preparations for the 2027 general elections continued.
Speaking on the sidelines of the gathering, Bala reaffirmed his organisation’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda.
He identified the ongoing Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-Maiduguri Superhighway as a major federal infrastructure project, saying it had the potential to improve transportation, agricultural trade and connectivity between the North-Central and North-East regions.
Bala also listed the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway, Lafia Bypass in Nasarawa State, Makurdi-Otukpo-9th Mile Road and Shendam Bridge in Plateau State among federal infrastructure projects in the region.
He said road connectivity, agricultural development, educational opportunities and economic reforms should remain central to discussions about the administration’s performance.
The RTIFN director-general, however, acknowledged the economic challenges facing Nigerians, stressing the need for government projects to deliver tangible improvements in people’s daily lives.
He described the North-Central zone as an important agricultural, commercial and transportation corridor, arguing that its development was critical to Nigeria’s broader economic growth.
RTIFN, which describes itself as a sister organisation to the City Boy Movement, is involved in public engagement, political mobilisation and advocacy for the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration.
Bala said the Lafia rally offered political stakeholders, community leaders and residents an opportunity to assess the government’s record, discuss development priorities and participate peacefully in the democratic process.
