These videos DON'T show arrests in Jamui molestation case

All three videos are old and unrelated to the Jamui incident.

Two minor students, a girl and a boy, were returning from a coaching class when they were allegedly groped and harassed by a group of men in Bihar’s Jamui on September 19. A video of the incident went viral on social media. Soon after, the police arrested seven people, including three minors.

Reverse-searching the first video’s frames led us to a report by Dainik Bhaskar published on December 16, 2025. According to it, the police paraded a man accused of murdering a nine-year-old girl after a failed rape attempt in Khachrod, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

When we reverse-searched the second clip, we found another video of the same incident recorded from a different angle, published by Dainik Bhaskar on July 14. It featured the same men and police officers. According to the news outlet, the police in the Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh paraded four men accused of gang-raping a widow.

We found a screenshot from the third video in a report published by India Today on September 7. According to it, these two men accused of raping a 14-year-old girl were arrested after an encounter in the Chhapaar police station area of Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar. The accused were identified by police as Waleen and Salman and were injured in retaliatory firing on September 6.
