THAI offers flood-affected ticket holders free date change - Bangkok Post

(Photo: Nutthawat Wichieanbut) Thai Airways International says it will allow one travel date change until Tuesday for passengers affected by flooding in Bangkok and surrounding areas.
For ticket holders originally due to depart from Bangkok between Saturday and Tuesday, one date change is permitted with the change fee waived, provided the new travel date follows the same routing and class of travel.
The new journey must be completed by Tuesday, THAI said in a statement on Saturday evening.
Passengers are also advised to allow extra travel time to the airport and check their flight status via the airlineβs website or by calling 02-356-1111, available 24 hours.
Passengers are eligible for a full refund if their flight is cancelled, it added, and any changes beyond the specified conditions are subject to the original terms and conditions.
After declaring all 50 districts of Bangkok disaster areas, governor Chadchart Sittipunt said on Saturday afternoon that if the rain stopped, it was expected to take two to three days to drain floodwater from the city.
Bangkok public schools will be closed on Monday to ease travel difficulties caused by flooding, while civil servants are urged to work from home on Monday and Tuesday if they have no essential duties requiring them to be in the office.
