Justice N.V. Shravan Kumar of Telangana High Court on Friday declined to interfere with the State government’s decision to suspend the food business licence of Pulla Reddy Sweets, Sanathnagar branch.
The shop’s authorised representative, Raghava Reddy, filed a writ petition challenging the decision of the Food Safety Designated Officer of Khairatabad zone to suspend the FSSAI license pointing out some deficiencies relating to food safety during an inspection.
Following a direction from the HC, the authorities conducted a re-inspection of the premises. They informed the bench that some deficiencies continued while some violations were addressed. Based on the re-inspection report, the judge declined to vacate the license suspension order and adjourned the matter to November 18.
