Olympic boxing medalist Carlo Paalam will fight for the gold medal in the 2026 Asian Games on Friday as he takes on Japan’s Rui Yamaguchi in the men’s 55kg final.
Paalam is one of several Filipino athletes still in medal contention on Friday.
The Alas Pilipinas women’s beach volleyball team will also battle for bronze, while athletes in jiu jitsu, taekwondo, padel, golf, wrestling, and other events continue their respective campaigns.
The Alas Pilipinas men’s team, meanwhile, will face Uzbekistan in the indoor volleyball classification round.
