Switch, Rixel court 75,000 film lovers for Black Market Guinness World Records attempt in Lagos - The Guardian Nigeria News
By Eniola Daniel Switch Visuals Productions and Rixel Studios have joined forces to attempt a Guinness World Record for the largest audience attending a film screening simultaneously, in a landmark event scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.
Produced by Switch Visuals Productions, the record-breaking event is being undertaken with the support of the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and is expected to bring together approximately 75,000 people for an unprecedented large-scale cinematic experience.
At the centre of the historic attempt is Black Market, the feature film through which Switch Visuals and Rixel Studios will seek to make Guinness World Records history. The film is a Rixel Studios production, produced in collaboration with FilmOne Studios and Signet Ring Studios.
The event will welcome high-profile dignitaries, government officials, industry leaders, members of the entertainment community, partners and distinguished guests, while bringing tens of thousands of film lovers together at one of Lagos’ most iconic venues.
