Sen. Smith: 'Very Open' to Diesel Export Ban

Senator Tina Smith (D-MN) says she's "very open" to the idea of a diesel export ban gaining traction in Washington, while cautioning it would be a short-term fix to a longer-term problem as the war with Iran keeps energy costs elevated. She says Minnesota farmers need immediate relief from high diesel and other input costs, as well as more stable markets for their crops. Smith also weighs in on Chinese President Xi Jinping's arrival in Washington, questioning whether the visit is focused more on pageantry than substantive economic progress.
