Second incident of firing at builder office reported

A second firing incident targeting a builder's office has been reported this month at Khilafat Chowk in Paposh Nagar, district central. Earlier on September 3, unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants had opened indiscriminate fire at the booking office of a residential project in the same area, injuring a 40-year-old security guard, Tariq Hussain. CCTV footage of the earlier incident had also surfaced. In the latest incident, two motorcycle-riding suspects opened fire at the office of an under-construction project at Khilafat Chowk and fled. Police reached the scene and cordoned off the area. A crime scene unit was called in to collect evidence who recovered 30-bore pistol casings from the scene. Police contacted the builder, who said he had not received any extortion note or call. Police are obtaining CCTV footage from the site and investigating the incident.
