The Cape Town community and authorities are searching for missing hiker Wayne Barnard (46) on Table Mountain. 

Speaking to CapeTalk's Lester Kiewit, his wife, Lauren, said she last contacted him at 11:05 am on Wednesday, 16 September, when he shared his live location and a picture. 

“By the looks of things, he was at a viewpoint on top of the mountain. Shortly after, his phone went off at about 11:25 am, and we have not had any contact since.”
