Chalong police said on Saturday that the suspect had previously delivered food to both homes, allowing him to observe their layouts and access points.
The two burglaries, reported on Wednesday, allegedly involved 12 camera-related items worth 387,788 baht and about US$100,000 (about 3.3 million baht) in cash.
Police traced the suspect after finding that he had allegedly exchanged some of the dollars for baht in Patong, bought gold and spent money on football gambling.
On Friday, police arrested him at the Tha Chat Chai checkpoint as he drove towards Phuket from his home province of Trang.
Officers found US$30,700, 75,150 baht and gold weighing 3.25 baht in the suspect's car. Police later recovered additional items worth about 250,000 baht.
