Rep. Issa Warns Oil Companies Against Profiting From US Shortage

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), Vice Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, says he opposes a diesel export ban, but warns US oil producers against using higher global prices to boost profits while creating scarcity at home. Rep. Issa calls the gains a “tremendous windfall,” and companies “can’t have it both ways.” Rep. Issa argues the US has mismanaged the Houthi threat for years, allowing the group to rebuild its capabilities and support attacks in the region.
