Los Angeles Rams defensive back Quentin Lake didn't hold back when describing Justin Herbert's performance in the team's Week 8 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Appearing on the St. Brown Podcast, Lake poked fun at the Chargers quarterback's struggles in the Rams' 24-9 victory, suggesting the defense knew it would have opportunities to make plays against him.

β€œI mean, he was throwing deli meat out there. He’s seeing ghosts, I’m not gonna lie," he said. "We knew we were gonna get a couple [of turnovers]."

Lake recorded an interception, tallied two defended passes and added seven combined tackles as the Rams held Herbert and the Chargers to just nine points.

Herbert finished the game with a difficult outing against a Rams defense that consistently made life uncomfortable for him. He threw for 257 passing yards but added the two turnovers, was sacked twice and fumbled once, although it was recovered by the Chargers.

Lake has three interceptions on the season with 11 passes defended and 56 combined tackles.
