Ramaphosa booked off sick after returning from BRICS summit - EWN

President Cyril Ramaphosa has been booked off from public engagements due to ill health.

The presidency said that Ramaphosa, who returned from the BRICS summit in India on Monday, has been advised by his medical team to rest and recover.

Ministers will represent him at scheduled engagements where possible.

This comes as Deputy President Paul Mashatile, who has not been seen in public since July,  said he is recovering well after a minor medical procedure.

Mashatile says he will continue resting on the doctor's advice.
