The South Western Railway’s Mysuru division organised a Digital Life Certificate camp at the Railway Kalyana Mantapa, Vontikoppal, here on Friday to help railway pensioners and family pensioners submit their annual life certificates digitally under the Nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5.0.
Officials from the Personnel and Accounts Departments assisted pensioners in generating and submitting their certificates through the Jeevan Pramaan App. A multipurpose health check-up camp was also organised on the occasion.
The Railway Board has launched the month-long campaign from November 1 to 30 to facilitate digital submission of life certificates and spare pensioners the inconvenience of visiting banks and offices.
As part of the initiative, the Mysuru division has scheduled similar camps at Mysuru on November 6, Hassan and Shivamogga on November 12, and Arsikere and Harihara on November 18.
The facility will also be available at the Pass Section of the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office in Mysuru throughout the campaign period until November 30, said Girish Dharmaraj Kalagonda, Divisional Commercial Manager, Mysuru division.
Senior divisional personnel officer Shirish S. Kamble, senior divisional finance manager R.C. Harshavardhan, divisional medical officer Sindhu and members of Railway Pensioners’ Associations were present.
Welfare Inspectors and other departmental staff will assist pensioners and family pensioners in generating and submitting their digital certificates.
