The South African Police Service (SAPS) has turned to Home Affairs for biometric records in a bid to put names to unidentified women and help investigators trace possible leads in the growing Ekurhuleni murder investigation.

The move follows the discovery of nine womenβs bodies found across the East Rand since July, with police now confirming that some of the cases may be linked.
