Under the Florida sun, the Green Bay Packers will be wearing their "Vintage green" primary home uniforms -- featuring the traditional green uniform top -- when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at what figures to be a hot and humid Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.

The forecast for Tampa on Sunday is calling for temps around 90, "uncomfortably humid" conditions and a "RealFeel" temp of 104, according to Accuweather.com, as of Thursday afternoon. Thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.

The Buccaneers, as they often do during the early months of the season, will wear white at home in attempt to stay cool under the sun -- leaving the visitors to wear the darker colors of a home uniform. White reflects heat, making the wearer cooler, at least in theory; darker colors absorb heat, making the wearer warmer. Every little advantage counts. The Packers, a team based in the northern United States, will be playing in potentially miserable conditions in terms of the heat and humidity combination. If there's any positive entering Sunday, it's that the Packers are coming off a mini-bye after playing on Thursday night and should be the better rested team.

Can the Packers beat the heat and escape Tampa with a much-needed win?

Sunday will mark the third consecutive week that the Packers have worn their "Vintage green" home uniform.
