No active COVID-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh, says Health Minister

Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said on Saturday that Andhra Pradesh had not reported a new COVID-19 case after August 25 and that there were no active cases in the State.

In a statement, Mr. Yadav said 1,086 samples were tested across the State between June 24 and September 25, a period of 94 days. Of these, 78 people tested positive, while 74 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

He said no COVID-19 cases were reported on 66 of the 94 days during the period under review. There had been no cluster outbreaks of COVID-19 anywhere in the State, he said.

Health authorities were continuing to closely monitor the situation, Mr. Yadav added.
