NIMS suspends Lakshmi Bhasker after ACB case

The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) has suspended its Additional Medical Superintendent Lakshmi Bhasker after he was booked by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) under a disproportionate assets case.

NIMS Director Rahul Devraj said that based on the investigation, they had reached out to Health Secretary Christina Z. Chongthu regarding Bhasker’s suspension. “The suspension was formally approved and implemented on Monday, September 28,” he said, adding that the institute has zero tolerance for corruption.
