My home is breaking: Ssunita seeks women, Gen Z support amid Govinda affair rumours
Ssunita Ahuja has once again spoken publicly about the turmoil in her marriage with Govinda, amid continuing speculation surrounding the actor’s alleged relationship with his Roopa co-star Rani Swarnkar. During a recent visit to the historic Dakshineswar Kali Temple near Kolkata, Ssunita spoke about the difficulties in her personal life and appealed to women, Gen-Z audiences and the media to support her.
The rumours surrounding Govinda and Rani remain unconfirmed. Neither Govinda nor Rani has publicly acknowledged any alleged relationship.
Speaking outside the Dakshineswar Kali Temple in West Bengal, Ssunita said she had visited the shrine to seek Goddess Kali’s blessings and asked for the difficulties in her life to be removed. She also urged the media not to give publicity to people whom she believes are trying to gain attention through the ongoing controversy.
“I have come to Dakshineswar Temple today to seek the blessings of Goddess Kali. As you all know, Goddess Kali destroys demons. Ssunita then made a direct appeal to the media, asking them not to support or amplify the controversy. “Those who are trying to gain publicity by coming into the media, I fold my hands and request the media not to support them. If the daughter or daughter-in-law of your own family had to go through all this, what would you do?” she said.
Sunita also asked women and Gen-Z audiences to stand by her during what she described as a difficult phase in her life.
“I want all of you to please support me. All the Gen-Z youngsters and women, please support me. What is happening to me is not right. My home is breaking for no reason. I want all of you women to take a stand for me and stand by me. I want the Gen-Z youngsters to take a stand for me as well. And I request the media, please do not take these things any further. You should support me too.”
Ssunita’s latest comments come in view of Govinda visiting Lalbaugcha Raja with Rani. The two were clicked visiting the pandal and seeking Bappa’s blessings.
Earlier, while talking to ANI, the 62-year-old actor addressed the ongoing speculation about his personal life after he was seen at Lalbaugcha Raja with Rani. The actor said their visit was work-related and dismissed the rumours surrounding their equation. He claimed that attempts were being made to distance him from his family and damage his reputation.
He described the developments as a “strategically planned movement” and said he had remained focused on his work.
“It is not anyone’s fault. This is a very strategically planned movement. Things are going to happen more. It was a part of the plan to distance me from my family and then tarnish my image in society,” he said.
The actor also addressed the rumours linking him romantically with Swarnkar.
