Milo Ventimiglia recalls filming 'Gilmore Girls' while dating Alexis Bledel - Geo News

Milo Ventimiglia is looking back fondly on his time with Gilmore Girls and his real-life romance with costar Alexis Bledel.

In an interview with Us Weekly published Tuesday, November 3, the 49-year-old actor reflected on filming the beloved series, recalling the memories he made with Bledel and fellow star Jared Padalecki. 

Ventimiglia joined the Amy Sherman-Palladino drama in its second season as Jess Mariano, Rory Gilmore’s troubled boyfriend.

“The episodes are for an audience to pick apart, dissect,” he said. “For us to make it, [it’s] the experience of making it. What were those days like on set? Hanging out with Jared Padalecki, being with [costar and real-life love] [Alexis [Bledel]]. The experience is something that I always lean into, that really fills me up.”

One particular memory involved filming on the Warner Bros. backlot with Bledel. Ventimiglia recalled insisting that a prop bag be weighted to make it look convincingly heavy.

Ventimiglia and Bledel dated for three-and-a-half years before splitting in 2006. Bledel previously revealed that the couple had discussed marriage.
