Mike Vrabel's expletive-filled reaction to Patriots' win over Bills - Patriots Wire
New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was fired up following his team’s victory over the Buffalo Bills. He gave a spirited speech in the locker room that encompassed the emotions of the day.
The Patriots were heavy underdogs heading into Sunday’s AFC East divisional showdown. However, they kept battling back in a head-to-head clash with the unbeaten Josh Allen-led Bills team. The defense stepped up on a day when the unit didn't have cornerback Christian Gonzalez and defensive tackle Christian Barmore.
And Patriots quarterback Drake Maye played his best game of the season after a sluggish start in his first three outings. That includes a game-winning drive where he connected on a touchdown with wide receiver Efton Chism, who brought the ball in with a one-handed grab.
"I get a great view to watch you guys prepare," Vrabel said in the locker room after the game. "So all week when I tell you that you guys are the answer, that we're back in the [expletive] race, you are the answer. I couldn't be more proud to be your [expletive] coach. To compete, to fight, okay, we are going to fight until they cut our [expletive] hands off. I promise you, until they [expletive] chop them off, we're going to [expletive] fight, and we're going to [expletive] swing."
With the win, the Patriots are right back in the thick of things in the AFC East.
They are one game behind the Bills and currently own the tiebreaker between the two teams. More importantly, they have created a massive confidence boost from a major upset win that could carry them the rest of the season.
