Mantashe hopes to shore up ANC’s electoral chances in Cape Town ahead of polls - EWN

African National Congress (ANC) chairperson Gwede Mantashe visited Cape Town on Saturday, hoping to shore up the party’s electoral chances in the city ahead of next month’s local government elections.

In Site B, Khayelitsha, Mantashe was confronted by some angry residents, pointing to potholes, and pools of stagnant water as proof of some service delivery problems.

Mantashe walked down one of Khayelitsha’s busiest thoroughfares as he greeted voters, some of whom told him that they had become disillusioned with the ANC.
