Man injured in shooting in south-west Sydney

A man has been shot in the leg in Sydney’s south-west.

Officers were called to Charles Street in Liverpool just after 12.30pm on Tuesday.

The man, 32, is being treated for a single gunshot wound to his lower left leg and has been taken to hospital, NSW Ambulance said. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A crime scene has been established, with a large police presence on the street about 30 kilometres south-west of Sydney’s CBD.

Police urged anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage or information about the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
