Man Hires Louis Puppet to Perform Ritual Dance to Lord Vessavana, Also Asks for Lucky Lottery Numbers - Thairath English
Success fulfilled, a man hired the "Louis Puppet" troupe to perform a ritual dance in gratitude to "Lord Vessavana" at Don Yai Temple, not forgetting to light incense sticks to ask for "lucky lottery numbers" and then went to try his luck for the November 1, 2026 draw.
On 31 Oct 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that at Don Yai Temple, Khlong 8, Lam Luk Ka Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province, the atmosphere was lively with devotees and believers flocking to worship and perform rituals in gratitude to Lord Vessavana.
Lord Vessavana is revered by believers as a deity of giving, associated with luck, fortune, career, and finance. Many devotees who have had their wishes granted continue to visit to ask for blessings and give thanks throughout the day. Offerings brought for gratitude vary according to each person's faith and are not specified by the temple.
Mr. Sarawut Chantrawanman came from Nonthaburi Province, bringing offerings and the Louis Puppet troupe, a youth group called Wayubut, to perform a ritual dance in gratitude to Lord Vessavana after successfully managing a complex overseas performance engagement.
Mr. Sarawut said that previously he and his sister had prayed to Lord Vessavana, asking for smooth progress in the overseas work and related procedures. He promised that if everything succeeded as hoped, he would bring the puppet troupe to perform as a gesture of thanks.
Shortly after the prayer, the project succeeded smoothly, and he was able to perform abroad as wished. He felt very happy that his first prayer was answered. Today, he came to fulfill his vow by presenting the puppet show "Hanuman Catches Suphan Matcha" to Lord Vessavana as thanks for the success. Before leaving, he lit incense sticks and received the number 459 to take home for further lottery chances.
Meanwhile, Ms. Sukanya Sertsangwan came from Don Mueang, bringing two bags of rice, a pack of drinking water, and offerings to perform a ritual in gratitude to Lord Vessavana after her son passed the pilot training course as she had hoped.
Ms. Sukanya said she had prayed to Lord Vessavana about two weeks ago, asking for her son to pass the pilot course. When the results came out, her son passed as she wished. Although she had confidence in her son’s ability, praying to Lord Vessavana was for her peace of mind as a mother and a spiritual support.
Today, with her son’s success, she returned to fulfill her vow and express her gratitude and joy. Before leaving, she lit incense sticks and received the number 124 to take home for another chance in the lottery.
