Amid the trolling surrounding Katrina Kaif’s postpartum appearance, actor Sameera Reddy has shared a strong message on body positivity. Without directly naming Katrina, Sameera urged people to embrace their bodies and not let other people’s opinions influence how they feel about themselves.

The Maine Dil Tujhko Diya actor shared a video on Instagram featuring words such as “plumpy”, “thicc”, “curvy”, “chubby”, “healthy”, “chunky” and “golu”. In the video, Sameera confidently flaunted her curves in different outfits while celebrating the different ways bodies are described.

Alongside the video, she wrote, “Whether you are a well-known personality, a young teen finding her way, a new mama, a woman seen year of judgement .. or just a person who needs to hear this – Your body listens and needs you to love it back irrespective of anything anyone has to say. Curvy – Beautiful- luscious You #bodypositivity #imperfectlyperfect.”

Her post comes at a time when Katrina Kaif has faced comments on social media over her appearance following the birth of her child. The trolling has sparked conversations around the scrutiny women face over their bodies, particularly after pregnancy and motherhood.

Sameera’s video also carried the words, “Words I love being called plumpy thicc curvy chubby healthy chunky golu.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sameera Reddy (@reddysameera)Salman Khan also calls out body-shamingThe conversation comes shortly after Salman Khan spoke against online trolling and paparazzi culture during an episode of Bigg Boss 20 Weekend Ka Vaar. He criticised people for targeting others over their age, weight, appearance, family background, career setbacks and motherhood.

Salman said, “Suddenly, everyone starts talking about age, saying someone has gotten old. What do you want to troll someone for? Their weight, their looks, their family, their smile, a career flop or becoming a mother? You are merely revealing your own upbringing.”

He also addressed trolling directed at women during pregnancy and said, “Yes, I have turned 60, man. Why do you troll a woman who is pregnant? Everyone gains weight during pregnancy she gained weight because she was pregnant; she will get fit again when she returns to films. She simply wanted to spend time with her family. Don’t troll.”

Sameera’s post adds to the ongoing conversation around body shaming, motherhood and the pressure on women to meet unrealistic expectations about their appearance.- EndsPublished By: shweta keshriPublished On: Sep 23, 2026 09:40 IST
