The Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS), operating under the State department of Tourism, has received the UN Tourism TedQual certification. This international academic accreditation has been awarded to KITTS’ MBA in Travel and Tourism programme.

The TedQual certification is a framework established by the UN Tourism to ensure quality standards in tourism education, training, and research.

The recognition reflects the importance Keralam accords to the travel and tourism education and underscores the high quality of the programme offered by KITTS, said P. C. Vishnunadh, Minister for Tourism and chairperson of KITTS.

It is all the more significant that this recognition came when the Tourism department is working on a project to elevate KITTS into a centre of excellence, he added.
