Jakarta Governor Honored as Capital Chosen to Host Ye Concert - Tempo.co English

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo said the capital was honored to host Ye’s concert on October 24, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium.

Pramono said the event has attracted international interest, with Australia reportedly accounting for the largest number of ticket buyers from outside Indonesia.

“Jakarta has been given the honor of hosting Ye’s concert because this is a concert covering Southeast Asia and Oceania,” Pramono told reporters at Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, September 15.

"But what is exciting is that his fans are from all over the world. I was surprised to learn that Australia has the most ticket buyers from overseas."

The Jakarta administration is coordinating preparations for the concert, which will take place on the same day as the Jakarta Running Festival, an event expected to draw 35,000 participants.

Pramono said the city would coordinate arrangements to ensure both events run smoothly.

Jakarta Governor’s Special Staff member Chico Hakim said the administration’s support for the concert would focus on operational matters, including public safety and traffic management.

The Jakarta administration has urged concertgoers and the public to follow traffic and safety arrangements around the GBK complex on October 24.

Official information on traffic diversions and public services will be released gradually by the relevant authorities, Chico said.
