iPhone 18 Pro to go on sale tomorrow in India, limited availability but good offers expected
The iPhone 18 Pro is finally coming to stores near you. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will go on sale in India on September 18, with sales starting at 8am IST through the Apple India Store. Pre-orders opened last week, and customers who ordered early are expected to receive their phones from tomorrow. Apple unveiled the new Pro models, alongside the Apple Watch Series 12 and AirPods 5, at its Surprise and Shine event on September 9. The company has also confirmed that the iPhone Duo will go on sale in India from October 23.
India Today Tech also contacted the Apple Store in Noida, which confirmed that availability will be limited during sale. The store said priority will be given to customers who pre-ordered the iPhone 18 Pro, with any remaining stock made available to walk-in buyers. This means not everyone visiting the store tomorrow may be able to get the phone, depending on how much stock is available.
For buyers considering an upgrade, the new Pro models bring a brighter display, Apple’s latest A20 Pro chip, a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system, longer battery life and several other upgrades. Apple is also offering cashback, EMI options, trade-in value and free Personal Setup for customers buying directly through its website. So, let’s take a quick look at the price, offers and key features, and whether iPhone 17 Pro owners or people using an even older iPhone should consider upgrading to the new flagship.
The new-generation iPhone 18 Pro will be available in India starting tomorrow. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 for the 256GB model. The 512GB, 1TB and 2TB variants cost Rs 1,89,900, Rs 2,39,900 and Rs 3,14,900, respectively. The iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900 for 256GB, while the 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions are priced at Rs 2,04,900, Rs 2,54,900 and Rs 3,29,900, respectively.
The phones are available in Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy, and Apple is also offering cashback, EMI, trade-in options and free Personal Setup for buyers purchasing directly from the company.
Apple is offering up to Rs 7,000 instant cashback on eligible purchases made using select cards, including those issued by American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank. The actual cashback depends on the card and applicable terms. With the maximum cashback, the effective price of the iPhone 18 Pro comes down to Rs 1,57,900, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts effectively at Rs 1,72,900. Customers can also opt for EMI on eligible credit and debit cards, with payment options including cards, Net Banking, UPI and Payment on Delivery.
Those upgrading from an older phone can also use Apple’s Trade In programme, which offers exchange value of up to Rs 81,500, depending on the device and its condition. Apple says it confirms the final trade-in value after assessing the old device, and customers can put that value towards their new purchase. So why should you consider the iPhone 18 Pro series?
The iPhone 18 Pro series brings several upgrades, starting with the display and performance. The iPhone 18 Pro gets a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the Pro Max has a larger 6.9-inch panel. Both support ProMotion with refresh rates of up to 120Hz, along with up to 3,000 nits of peak outdoor brightness, Ceramic Shield 2 and an anti-reflective coating.
Powering the phones is Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, built on a 2nm process. It features a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says the GPU is up to 40 per cent faster than the A19 Pro, while memory bandwidth is 50 per cent higher. Both phones come with 12GB RAM, up to 2TB storage and run iOS 27.
The camera setup is another big highlight, with both models featuring a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system. The main Fusion camera gets a variable aperture ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0, while the 48-megapixel Ultra Wide and 48-megapixel Fusion Telephoto cameras offer more flexibility for photography and video.
Battery life has also improved, with Apple claiming up to 36 hours of video playback on the iPhone 18 Pro and up to 45 hours on the Pro Max.- EndsPublished By: Divya BhatiPublished On: Sep 17, 2026 13:49 ISTAlso Read | iPhone 18 Pro is made in India, Apple shipping globally including US on charter planesAlso Read | Adidas confirms layoffs at India tech hub, around 20% employees affectedAlso Read | You should be afraid of AI: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman warns users
