The International Criminal Court announced on Tuesday that it will relocate this year's annual assembly to The Hague in the Netherlands. The assembly starts at the end of November.

It was originally scheduled to take place in December at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
However, US President Donald Trump has been putting pressure on the court. His administration in August announced sanctions on ICC leadership, including President Akane Tomoko.
That led to "concerns," such as visa restrictions, that would possibly force some officials, including Akane, to miss the assembly in person.
Sources say the change of venue is unusual.
