Heavy rainfall forecast in 14 Telangana districts on September 22

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall forecast for 14 Telangana districts for Tuesday (September 22, 2026).

According to the IMDs latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts.

Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.

Hyderabad city for the next 24 hours will see a generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with intense spells at times accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in parts of the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32℃ and 23℃ respectively,” as per the bulletin.
