Habagat to affect parts of Luzon, Negros Island, Zamboanga Peninsula - GMA Network

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies and rain over several parts of the country, PAGASA said in its Saturday morning forecast.

Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are expected over the Negros Island Region and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience localized thunderstorms.

Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters across the country will be slight to moderate.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Dujuan was located 2,000 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon as of 3 a.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 150 km/h.

As of 2 a.m., the low pressure area (LPA) was spotted 140 kilometers south of Pag-asa Island in Palawan.

Both the typhoon and the LPA were outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). —VBL, GMA News
