Police were searching for eight unidentified armed men following the shooting in Extension 3.
It was understood patrons were drinking inside and outside the tavern when the gunmen arrived and opened fire on people outside.
Officers said the gunmen then stormed into the tavern, where they continued shooting at patrons.
The gunmen were said to have been armed with AK-47 rifles and pistols.
They allegedly searched some patrons and stole their cellphones before fleeing the scene in two unidentified vehicles.
