Globo, governance and ESG management - Globo

The process of developing Globo’s 2030 ESG Agenda was conducted in 2021 by a multidisciplinary Working Group, with the support of an external consulting firm. It included a detailed analysis of the industry along with study of GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) standards for the media sector. A diagnosis was also done of the company’s standing in relation to themes previously identified as relevants.

As a result of this work, we developed our Materiality Matrix, which we use as a guideline for developing six strategic commitments for the company to pursue.

ESG governance was consolidated, also, defining an agenda of periodic reports to the Finance, Legal and Infrastructure Director and to the company’s Board of Directors.

We want to build a journey that produces responsible content and become, even more, a company that contributes to the sustainable development of the country and positively impacts the environment and society.

We also establish partnerships with which we can exchange knowledge. In 2022, we became signatories to the United Nations (UN) Global Compact and we renewed our long-standing association with Ethos Institute, a corporate social responsibility institute.
