Fujifilm drops mini camera equipped with 30 photo effects - GMA Network

Fujifilm seems to have an answer to Kodak’s Charmera with the launch of its Instax Pal 2.

In a press release published on Fujifilm’s website, the Instax Pal 2 is described as the new and improved successor to the original Instax Pal.

The mini camera also features 30 photo effects for different moods and styles, including Y2K, vintage, chromatic, and fantasy, among others. You can take photos in mini, square, wide, and no-frame formats.

Beyond photos, the Instax Pal 2 also lets you create animation shots, combining up to 10 consecutive snaps into a flipbook-style video.

For convenient file transfers to smartphones, the camera has a dedicated app for iOS and Android that allows seamless transfers via Bluetooth or through the USB Type-C terminal.

Compared to the Charmera, which produces images at 1.6 megapixels, the Instax Pal 2 produces photos at 10 megapixels.

The Instax Pal 2 is set to be officially released in October. As of writing, its official retail price has yet to be revealed, but it is projected to cost around $169.95 (approximately P10,678.81). —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
