Fuel theft surfaces at RR asphalt plant

The alleged theft of diesel and light diesel oil from the asphalt plant of the Rawalpindi Ring Road project has come to light, with a private employee of the FWO Construction Team allegedly found involved in the theft and sale of the fuel to an oil agency owner in the area. He fled after the theft was detected. Police registered a case against the two men on the application of a representative of the construction team. According to officials, a private employee of the FWO Construction Team was allegedly found involved in the theft and sale of oil and diesel worth Rs3 million. A case was registered against burner man Shehbaz Ali at Saddar Bairuni police station on the complaint of Arshad Iqbal. The FIR stated that Shehbaz Ali was working as a burner man at the Rawalpindi Ring Road asphalt plant, owned by a unit of the FWO Construction Team working on the project. He was allegedly found involved in the proven embezzlement of diesel and oil worth Rs3 million belonging to the unit. The FIR further stated that burner man Shehbaz Ali sold the diesel and oil to Adnan Arshad, owner of an oil agency in Khinger Kalan village. When the investigation began, the burner man fled from the premises of the unit. Legal action was sought against burner man Shehbaz Ali and oil agency owner Adnan Arshad. Police said a case had been registered and raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects.
