Fresh Questions Raised Over Nolan Wells Phone, Autopsy - Newsweek

Nolan Wells’ family have fresh questions about the death of the 18-year-old Black college student after a forensic review of his cellphone and state autopsy results.

Wells was found dead two days after traveling with friends on a boat trip to Horn Island for a July 4 party. His parents have voiced suspicion after his friends left the island without him.

Just a few days ago, a Mississippi grand jury said it found no evidence of criminal conduct in the teen’s death.

Lawyers for the family, including civil rights attorney Ben Crump, on Thursday called for more transparency, requesting the official autopsy report and the grand jury investigative materials be publicly released.
