A free comprehensive health check-up camp was organised for 110 women pourakarmikas of Zone 9 of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) in association with Dr. Jyothi’s Healthcare Hospital on Rajkumar Road here on Sunday.

MCC Commissioner Savita M.K. inaugurated the camp.

As part of the initiative aimed at safeguarding the health of women sanitation workers, a range of medical tests worth around ₹5,000 were conducted free of cost. The tests included complete haemogram, renal and liver function tests, lipid profile, random blood sugar, thyroid function test, HbA1c, Pap smear and ECG.

The beneficiaries were also provided consultations with a gynaecologist and a physician.

Dr. Jyothi, chief doctor of the hospital, personally examined all 110 pourakarmikas and provided individual counselling and necessary health advice.

Environmental Engineer of Zone 9 Lokeshwari, Zonal Development Officer Harshiya Taranam, health inspectors Prabhakar, Sahana and Shruthi, and other MCC staff were present.

The Commissioner appreciated the doctors, nursing and administrative staff for organising the health camp.
