Febrie Adriansyah Speaks Out, Denies Owning 74 Kg of Gold Seized by Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah denied owning the 74 kilograms of gold seized by the Attorney General's Office in the case implicating him.

Febrie made the statement after undergoing the second phase of case handover at the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office on Friday (18/9/2026).

"It has been examined, and I have also requested that this be cleared up. Who owns it, and any connection to me, has been explained to the investigation team," Febrie said at the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office on Friday.

Therefore, Febrie hopes the panel of judges will judge his case with clarity.

Besides denying ownership of the gold, Febrie also asserted that he does not hold a mining business license (IUP).

"I don't have a mining IUP. I have never requested government projects. I have never owned palm oil concessions. I have never asked for import quotas," he said.

He further stated his belief that President Prabowo Subianto received incorrect information regarding the case against him.

"Who is involved there? Gedung Bundar has the database. And I am certain the President received wrong input concerning this matter," he revealed.

Febrie also mentioned that the Jampidsus maintains a database related to parties involved in various major cases.
