A 21-year-old man has been arrested by Maharashtra police for allegedly beating and strangling his 19-year-old wife to death following a domestic dispute in Thane, Maharashtra.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested by Maharashtra police for allegedly beating and strangling his 19-year-old wife to death following a domestic dispute in Thane, Maharashtra.

According to police, the accused, identified as Tabrez Jamshet Alam, had an argument with his wife Sainab Tabrez Alam at around 5.30 pm on September 18. The couple reportedly had frequent disputes over allegations that the wife did not show adequate respect to the husband’s relatives.

Police alleged that the argument escalated on September 18, following which Tabrez assaulted his wife and allegedly strangled her to death.

A case has been registered at Narpoli police station based on a complaint filed by police naik Kiran Tanaji Mohite. The accused has been booked under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder.
