Didn't like that: Mini Mathur on Salman Khan's 'scared of wife' dig at Kabir Khan
Television host and actor Mini Mathur has said she did not like Salman Khan's remark about her husband, filmmaker Kabir Khan, being "scared" of her. Reflecting on the comment made on Alliance, the 54-year-old said that while she adores the Bollywood superstar, the comment was one she did not appreciate.
Speaking in an interview with podcaster Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, Mini also said Salman's visit to the show came at an important point, just days before the finale, and brought a different energy into the house. She added that the experience also gave him a chance to see a side of her beyond being identified as "Kabir's better half".
"I, of course, adore him and it was wonderful to hear him say that. You know, of course, I didn't like that comment," Mini said.
She said she had often been seen primarily in relation to Kabir Khan and was glad that her time on the show changed that perception, at least in Salman's eyes. "I was always like Kabir's better half, and so I'm glad that he got to see a side of me that he hadn't before," she said.
Mini said she enjoyed having Salman on Alliance and found it especially entertaining to watch the other contestants respond to his presence. "It was so enjoyable to watch the rest of the house sit with their mouths open and their jaws on the floor saying, βThis is real. Somebody pinch me. The Salman Khan is sitting with us sipping coffee,'" she added.
She also said his appearance, which was to support his brother Sohail, came at a crucial stage in the competition. "We just needed that kind of energy in the house two days, three days before the finale. He shared a lot of his personal experiences, gave Su a boost and joked around with a whole lot of us. It was nice to have that crazy energy in the house," Mini said.

Kabir and Salman have previously worked together on Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
In an earlier chat with IndiaToday.in, Kabir said he and Salman would work together again only if they found the right script.
"If there's a script, I would love to seek Salman, and he too should be excited about it. We have had a fabulous collaboration. The role he has in my career, I will never be able to underestimate that. We had a fruitful collaboration and created some iconic characters. I would love to do it [again] but it has to be script-based. We cannot just get on any film, as it wouldn't make sense. I cannot just go to him with anything, it has to be something great. And if we do find that, we would love to get back together," he said.
Salman, meanwhile, is currently hosting the reality TV show Bigg Boss 20.
