Did Nyoy Volante court Jennylyn Mercado in the past? - GMA Network

Nyoy Volante addressed whether he and Jennylyn Mercado had a romantic relationship in the past.

On Thursday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Nyoy was asked if he had courted Jennylyn.

“Jennylyn and I, during those times, there was a point in time when we really became close. She was watching my shows,” he said in Filipino.

When Tito Boy brought up reports that Mark Herras even allegedly got jealous, Nyoy said, “Wow, that’s intense. Ah, I didn’t know about that."

When asked if their relationship ever became official, Nyoy was honest enough to say he didn't know.

“There was no label. What we had was what we had. It wasn’t—I mean, it was there. I was definitely very fond of her. But, as I said, whatever we had before, it's not for being safe, it didn’t have a label or anything. All I know is that we became very close before,” Nyoy said.

Nyoy is married to theater actress Mikkie Bradshaw, while Jennylyn is married to Dennis Trillo.

Nyoy currently stars in “Born to Shine.”
