Demarcus Robinson injury update as 49ers WR carted off vs Dolphins - USA Today

The San Francisco 49ers can't catch a break from the injury bug, taking another blow to their wide receiver room.

The latest player to get bit is Demarcus Robinson, who appeared to suffer a lower leg injury with 6:46 left in the second quarter.

Robinson was carted off the field against the Miami Dolphins after catching a 20-yard pass from quarterback Brock Purdy. Robinson caught a wide open pass and took a roll and tumble as he lost his footing trying to flip back up and continue running.

Dolphins cornerback Jason Marshall Jr. was credited with the stop as Robinson came up limping. He hobbled to the sideline where he was met by the 49ers medical staff and team trainers who helped him on the sideline.

Robinson left the game with three catches for 34 yards. He is questionable to return, the team announced.

The Niners scored on the drive a couple plays after Robinson's reception. Purdy finished the offensive possession with a 2-yard scramble, running in for the score.

The 49ers led 14-3 with 5:24 in the second quarter.
